Virtual reality is changing the way hotel staff are trained
Virtual reality is no longer just a toy for tech enthusiasts—it’s becoming a common part of education, even in the hospitality industry. Profit Hotel Concept, in collaboration with CPI Hotels, is demonstrating how modern technologies can help employees practice real-life scenarios in a safe environment and improve the quality of service.
Profit Hotel Concept (PHC) has long been pushing the boundaries of education in the hospitality industry. In collaboration with the CPI Hotels group, it is developing an innovative approach to employee training—using virtual reality to allow staff to practice various operational scenarios in a safe and realistic environment. This modern teaching method not only saves time and money but, above all, helps employees develop confidence when interacting with guests in real life.
The latest training session, which took place in late September, demonstrated that virtual reality transcends both linguistic and cultural boundaries. For the first time, foreign employees of CPI Hotels participated, and the entire training was conducted in English. Participants had the opportunity to try out various simulated scenarios from hotel operations—ranging from communicating with guests to handling non-standard requests.
Virtual reality enables realistic simulations of situations that, in actual operations, could be stressful for new employees or costly to prepare. As a result, the training becomes not only an educational tool but also an experience that fosters engagement, team spirit, and a desire to improve.
The project’s success is due not only to the Profit Hotel Concept team but also to strong partnerships.
